Well it did work in the sense that a baby was indeed pulled out of it, and it was indeed stapled shut, and then a week later it did, indeed, open.
This is rare, but does occasionally happen. I could apply that sentence to much of my babymaking experience.
My lovely wife had to stuff my 5-inch-wide, 1.5-inch-deep wound with gauze twice a day for 6 weeks, until it healed from the inside out. It hurt. She is very squeamish, and nearly passed out when the doctor said she had to do it. But she rose to the challenge and performed brilliantly.

um, ouch. Yer wife is the best!
Ouchie.
I had a wound infection in my caesar site- but only about a third of it got messy. Fortunately!

HI S, and welcome to preemie blog moms! I’m the founder of the group, and have to say, I had the same thing happen to my csection incision with my twins (micro preemies). I just had a 2nd pregnancy, and it was fine this time around. The doc even “cleaned” up my nasty scar from the “healing-inside-out” incision last time around.
My husband was the packer and he got to comment on seeing the layers of my fat from the inside out. uggh!
Anyways, A, is a cutie-pie, and welcome to PBM!

Oh how horrible! I’m sorry you both went through that.
Ouch. That’s all I’m going to say.
Wow, you know after my c-section I had horrible visions of my incision coming open. It’s probably a good thing I didn’t read this at that time, lol. Glad you are doing better. I got your blog from the preemie blog moms group. I am also the mother of a micropreemie. My daughter was born at 25 weeks, and is now a year old.
